The Kadlec
Connection
As a patient, you want a
coordinated continuum of care,
so that when necessary, the
treatment you receive from one
physician can be coordinated
with care by another. Being a part
of Kadlec Health System, which
includes both Kadlec Clinic and
Kadlec Regional Medical Center,
helps make that possible.
Should a patient need a referral
to a specialist, or if a patient has
been under the care of a specialist
or hospitalized at Kadlec and is
now returned to primary care,
the electronic records system
makes coordinating care easier.
Providers have the ability to access
information which could impact
that patient’s care, including tests,
medications, surgery and more. This
helps patients move more smoothly
between clinics and the hospital.
As a patient, you can also access
your own health records, make
appointments and communicate
with your physician using My
K-Chart, Kadlec’s electronic medical
records system.

Is it a heart attack?
KNOWING THE SYMPTOMS
of a heart
attack can be lifesaving knowledge. And,
did you know that men and women may
experience different symptoms?
MEN
often, but not always, experience
the classic warning signs of a heart attack:
●●
Pressure, fullness, squeezing or pain in
the center of the chest that goes away
and comes back
●●
Pain that spreads to the shoulders,
neck or arms
●●
Chest discomfort with light-
headedness, fainting, sweating,
nausea, or shortness of breath
WOMEN
may experience the classic
symptoms, but they are often milder.
Women may also have other symptoms
like:
●●
Shortness of breath or difficulty
breathing
●●
Nausea, vomiting or dizziness
●●
Back or jaw pain
●●
Unexplained anxiety, weakness or
fatigue
●●
Palpitations, cold sweats or paleness
●●
Mild, flu-like symptoms
Call 911 at any signs of a heart attack.
Do not delay.

Welcome James Kneller, MD
KADLEC C L I NI C ELEC TROPHYS I OLOGY CARD IOLOG I ST
Dr. Kneller recently relocated to the
Tri-Cities from Spokane and joined the
team at Kadlec Inland Cardiology. In his
practice he treats patients with heart
rhythmdisturbances, including palpitations
and irregular heartbeat (arrhythmias),
and other symptoms such as blackouts
and unexplained falls as well as reduced
ventricular function. He uses medications,
implantable devices such as pacemakers
and implantable defibrillators, cardiac
resynchronization therapy, and catheter
ablation to affect the heart’s electrical
impulses to reduce symptoms and improve
his patients’ comfort and
quality of life.
Previously he traveled
to the community to
provide patients in our
region with electrophysiology (EP) care,
and he is very excited to be in the Tri-
Cities full time working with the provider
teams at Kadlec Regional Medical Center
and Kadlec Clinic and providers from the
surrounding region.
